At a glance
Magic Storytelling has no public profiles, social feed or advertising SDK. You do not create a separate Magic Storytelling account. The app stores your family library on your devices and, when iCloud is available, syncs it through your private iCloud database.
Information you choose to provide
You may enter a reader name, language, story character, setting, theme and other creative choices. The app also stores the books, illustrations, favourites and reading activity needed to provide the library and bedtime experience. Please do not enter sensitive personal information into a story.
Story and illustration generation
To create a book, Magic Storytelling sends the selected story ingredients to Firebase AI services. To paint the book, relevant story text, visual descriptions and any reference artwork you deliberately choose are sent for image generation. Google and its model providers process these requests to return the generated text and images. Their handling is governed by the Firebase AI Logic data governance terms.
The app does not need to upload narration audio. The bundled Supertonic storyteller runs on the device for supported languages. If you select an Apple system voice, narration uses the voice services available on the device.
iCloud and device storage
Your library state and illustration assets are stored locally. When you are signed in to iCloud, Apple CloudKit syncs them using the app's private database so the library can follow your family across its Apple devices. Apple controls the iCloud account and CloudKit infrastructure; see Apple's privacy information.
Subscriptions
Apple processes App Store payments. RevenueCat receives a pseudonymous app user identifier, product and entitlement information, purchase status and related technical data so the app can unlock and restore subscriptions. See the RevenueCat privacy policy. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
Technical operation and security
Firebase App Check may use Apple App Attest to help distinguish genuine app requests and reduce abuse. Apple and Firebase may process device or network information needed to provide and secure their services. We use these providers to operate the feature, prevent misuse and control generation costs.
Children and family use
The app is designed to be set up and managed by a parent or guardian for shared family use. It does not ask a child to create a public account, post publicly or contact other users. A parent or guardian should supervise the details entered into each story.
Retention and deletion
Saved books remain in the library until you delete them or remove the app's data. Deleting a book removes its local record and associated local artwork; CloudKit then synchronizes the change when available. Service providers may retain limited request, security or transaction records under their own terms and legal obligations.
Your choices
- You can use the reader without narration, or use on-device narration.
- You can delete individual books from the library.
- You can manage iCloud access in Apple Settings.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store account.
